“You’re Losing Right” - Bob Dylan in a dream

Last night I dreamed I started a series of phone calls with Bob Dylan.  Somehow I came up with his number and started calling and leaving mysterious poem messages every once in awhile.  Eventually he started answering and would talk to me in verse, choosing his words carefully.  During our conversations, I would never say my name or anything about myself, but one day I called Bob when I was feeling especially desperate and proceeded to tell him my situation.  As I was going into detail, Bob stopped responding, but stayed on the line and I could feel my tongue thickening by the second.  Finally when I was at the point where I was telling him, “my name is Fancy Dan,” my words weren’t coming out and I had a severe lisp and couldn’t get “Fancy Dan” to sound intelligible.  Finally Bob hung up and I lost him.

A few minutes later I got a text message from Bob saying, “you’re losing right.”  I immediately knew what he meant, that I was thinking too much and trying too hard.   My right brain was losing a battle with my left brain and it was painfully obvious.  He proceeded in sending me several more short text messages, which were full of all kinds of poetic advice.  Finally when I was about to respond, some Dylanolgist came in the room and somehow knew that I had messages from Bob as well as his phone number so he tried to wrestle me for the phone.  I wasn’t about to lose this priceless advice to some collector so I was hanging on for dear life.  Just then, I woke up.
